A modern interpretation of a classic story told through Dance, Visual Art, and Music

“You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed”

In a world of polished steel and artificial lights, where the sky hums with the soft glow of circuitry, a lone human wanders into a garden unlike any other. There she discovers a friend, herself, and the truth.

Apprivoisé is a multi-disciplinary ballet performance inspired by chapters from the classic story The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The piece blends modern technologies with traditional art forms to depict the journey of a young person navigating an ever-evolving world where emerging AI and robotic technologies are transforming society.

Apprivoisé is produced in collaboration with Princeton University First Law Robotics, Iustitia Fine Arts, and Boston Dynamics and is currently seeking support from other esteemed patrons of science and the arts.

Gigi Schadrack, a former professional ballerina and recent Princeton University graduate who specialized in Science & Tech policy, uses dance to tell the story of Apprivoisé with a unique quadrupedal dance partner.

The performance is set to original music by composer and musician Noah Altshuler.

Visually inspired by the original manuscripts by Saint-Exupéry, Apprivoisé features original artwork by visual artist Ken Daniels.

Each artist employs cutting-edge technologies to bring their respective crafts to the stage, all to create an unforgettable and thought-provoking experience.

The Artists

Gigi Schadrack

Gigi Schadrack is a dancer, researcher, and digital content creator exploring the intersection of movement art and robotics. A former professional ballerina, she trained at American Ballet Theatre, Tanz Akademie Zürich, Boston Ballet, and Princeton Ballet School. Beyond the stage, Schadrack is a recent Princeton University graduate who specialized in Science & Tech policy. Her senior thesis, Governing Dual-Use Artificial Intelligence in Robotics: Innovation, Safety, and Transparency, examines policy frameworks for the ethical development and deployment of autonomous robotic systems. Online, Schadrack has used viral storytelling to reshape public perceptions of robotics, amassing over 36 million views and sparking industry-wide discussions. Her work has been featured by PCMag, TechTimes, Princeton Engineering, and Fox Business. She has also presented at the AI Summit New York and lobbied at the New York State Capitol for the Responsible Robotics Act alongside Boston Dynamics. Whether on stage or in the lab, Gigi remains dedicated to bridging the worlds of technology, ethics, and human expression.

Ken Daniels

Ken Daniels is a multidisciplinary artist, technologist, and creative futurist exploring the intersection of art, technology, and human experience. A graduate of NYU Film School, his career has spanned from working on film tech and production to pioneering advanced AV systems in commercial spaces and smart homes through his company, Make Smart. Later in his career, Daniels turned to LiDAR, photogrammetry, and computer vision as tools for storytelling. Through his art, Ken reclaims technology–tools born from conflict repurposed to create, connect, and inspire. Whether designing immersive environments or pushing the boundaries of digital media, he remains dedicated to reshaping the way we see, experience, and build the future.

Noah Altshuler

Noah Altshuler is a playwright, screenwriter, and multidisciplinary artist working across theater, film, music, and visual media. At seventeen, his first play, Making the Move, premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and by eighteen, he was named Playwright in Residence at the Mark Twain House & Museum. His work has been profiled by The New Yorker and The Guardian, chronicling his early success in bringing literature and history to the stage. At Princeton University, Altshuler studied contemporary classical composition under Steven Mackey. Based in New York and Los Angeles, Altshuler continues to create across disciplines, crafting stories, sounds, and images that challenge, entertain, and inspire
